Explain the difference between generator and motor

Following are the difference between generator and motor

Generator Motor
It converts mechanical energy into electrical energy. It converts electrical energy into mechanical energy.
It is based on the principle of dynamically. It is based on the principle that when current-carrying conductors are placed in magnetic field, it experiences forces.
The direction is given by Fleming’s right-hand rule. The direction is given by Fleming’s left-hand rule.
It is driven by mechanical machine which develops voltage which in turn produces current. It is supplied by electric current which develops torque which in turn produces rotation.
It uses Fleming’s right-hand rule to determine the direction of induced current. It uses Fleming’s left-hand rule to determine the direction of force produced.
Application:- Lighting, power supply, battery charging etc. Application:- centrifugal pump, blowers and, fans, lathe machine tools, reciprocating, pump etc.
