What are bio-degradable lubricants?
Biodegradable or biolubricants are made from vegetable oils (rapeseed oil) or synthetic oils (synthetic esters) that are quickly decomposed by living organisms and are less toxic for people and aquatic environments.
Vegetable oils: they consist of olive oil, palm oil, cotton oil, cottonseed oil etc
Synthetic oils: they consist of polyolefins, dieters and polyalkylene glycols (polyglycols)
A complete range of biodegradable lubricants: chainsaw oils, hydraulic fluids, two-stroke engine oils, biodegradable greases.
Use of Biodegradable Lubricants, Bio-lubes, Green Oils or Environmentally Considerate Lubricants (ECLs) is becoming a common contract requirement in lubricant applications where environmental sensitivity is an issue, particularly where access to groundwater, rivers, streams and lakes is a risk.
