What is gear driver ?

There are many types of gear drives such we :

• Helical
• Spur
• Bevel
• Worm gear

1. Helical and bevel gear drive are most preferred and quite efficient out of them.
2. Spur gears though found in many older systems, avoided in the new system due to their low efficiency.
3. Up to 10-15 hp applications, worm gears prove economical over helical gear.
4. Helical gears have opted for larger loads.
5. Less efficient worm gears may required motor of a large size to drive given load than a helical gear set up to of a compared size.
6. Helical, bevel gears instead of inefficient worm gear can help to achieve energy conservation.
